Jefferson Academy of Music presents the Hausmann Quartet as part of its“Jefferson’s Signature Series”  this spring. Angela Choong, the group’s violist, is a graduate of the OSU School of Music, where she was the student of the late Professor Michael Davis. The concert is in the newly renovated Cardinal Health Auditorium at the Columbus Museum of Art , 480 East Broad St., at 2 p.m. March 4. The program includes Cleveland Institute of Music founding director Ernest Bloch’s Paysages for String Quartet, Mendelssohn’s String Quartet No. 2 in A minor, Op. 13 and Tchaikovsky’s final work for the genre, String Quartet No. 3 in E-flat Minor, Op. 30. Jefferson Academy is based at the OSU School of Music, and the Hausmann Quartet will teach a chamber music master class during its residency in Columbus.
