SBS alumni meeting features alum Hosket
March 9
The Social and Behavioral Sciences Alumni Society annual meeting welcomes Bill Hosket, OSU basketball alum, All-American, All-Big Ten, Academic All-American and analyst for ESPN Regional Television, as its keynote speaker. Autographed basketballs and more will be auctioned for SBS’ student scholarship fund.

All SBS graduates are invited. Admission is $20 with all proceeds going to the SBS Alumni Society Student Scholarship Fund. The event is free for students currently enrolled in the college. Registration required by March 3. E-mail Jennifer.Storm@xerox.com.

Law symposium revisits school desegregation
Feb. 21-22
A national conversation on race in public policy, sparked by the U.S. Supreme Court’s 2007 ruling on voluntary integration in public schools, will continue at the Ohio State Law Journal Symposium, “The School Desegregation Cases and the Uncertain Future of Racial Equality.” Top legal scholars, social scientists and education experts will gather at the Moritz College of Law at 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Feb. 21 and 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Feb. 22 to explore the potential impact of this decision on the pursuit of racial equality in public schools and beyond.
