Deadline Nov. 30 The OSU Comprehensive Cancer Center is offering American Cancer Society-supported seed grants of up to $30,000 for the period of Jan. 1-Dec. 1, 2009. The award provides seed money to independent junior faculty and their equivalent, research scientists, for the initiation of cancer research projects so they can obtain preliminary results to compete successfully for national research grants. SchottensteinDeadline Dec. 19 Nominations are invited for the regional Outreach Scholarship W.K. Kellogg Foundation Engagement Award. Two projects will be submitted by President E. Gordon Gee for this regional award. Regional winners will receive $9,000 and be eligible for the C. Peter Magrath University Community Engagement Award. The national winners will receive an additional $20,000.
