OSU community invited to COSI After Dark
Jan. 9 COSI will offer free admission to all Ohio State University faculty, staff, students and family members from 7 p.m.-midnight. COSI After Dark, sponsored by University Housing, also will offer free live entertainment, door prizes and contests, and light snacks and beverages. Complimentary roundtrip transportation is available from OSU to COSI. Buses will leave starting at 6:45 p.m. from four campus locations — the Blackburn House bus stop on West Woodruff, the Hale Center bus stop on 12th Avenue, Buckeye Village bus stop and the bus stop between Morrill and Lincoln Towers on Cannon Drive. The buses will continue to loop between COSI and the university throughout the evening. Parking is available at COSI for $3. Jan. 10 Charles Shapiro, director of Breast Medical Oncology at James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute, is the keynote speaker for the 2nd annual SASS New Year’s Update for Breast Cancer Survivors at Cherry Valley Lodge in Newark. The event, sponsored by the Licking County Health Department, is from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Also, JamesCare for Life Program Director Pat Schmitt will present “Breast Cancer Rehabilitation and Survivorship.” Registration for this event is free for Licking County breast cancer survivors and a caregiver (sister, friend, mother, spouse, etc.).
