Headline newsBERGDALL APPOINTED ULAR DIRECTOR AND UNIVERSITY VETERINARIANValerie Bergdall has been named director of University Laboratory Animal Resources, following an extensive national search that brought forward several exceptional candidates. Bergdall has served as interim ULAR director since December 2006, during which time she reorganized the ULAR staff and space, and revised the unit’s operational accounting and fiscal management, working in each case to more effectively integrate ULAR into larger Office of Research procedures, systems and databases. Under her new appointment, Bergdall will formally serve as University Veterinarian, and also continue in her appointment as Professor - Clinical within the College of Veterinary Medicine. Read more >
DEPARTMENT OF ART VISITING ARTIST SERIES TO PRESENT LAETITIA SONAMIThe Department of Art visiting artist series will present composer, performer and installation artist Laetitia Sonami at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday (1/15) at the Wexner Film and Video Theater. Her most recent work, in collaboration with Nick Bertoni and The Tinkers Workshop, involves large scale installations made with inventors, scientists and school children. The workshop will cover the computational resources and environments at OSC, computational chemistry software packages, and the Computational Chemistry Grid. In addition to English Language and American Culture, CEd offers seven different languages in varying skill levels. Students may choose from Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Somali and Spanish. Most courses are held from 7–9 p.m. in Mount Hall on West Campus.
