OSUToday sponsored by the Wexner Center for the Arts
Bigger Than Life, at the Wexner Center Friday (2/6)-Saturday (2/7), is a wrenching portrait of 1950s suburbia gone haywire. James Mason is at his best as a school teacher who suffers from horrible pain and blackouts with only months to live. At first things get better as the “miracle” drug cortisone kicks in - then dire consequences follow and his life begins to unravel. The film is not available on DVD, so see it here in a new 35mm Cinemascope print. Read more > |
