Headline newsAMBITIOUS PROJECT EXPLORES AMERICAN MIDWESTAsked to describe the Midwest, outsiders typically depict the region as rather sedate, cautious and comfortable in its ways. “The American Midwest: An Interpretive Encyclopedia” firmly debunks that stereotype and many others. The book, an immense project managed by the Institute for Collaborative Research and Public Humanities in the College of Humanities, was released in February after more than six years of work. ROSOL TO DELIVER VETERINARY MEDICINE ADDRESS TODAYFaculty and staff are invited to join College of Veterinary Medicine Dean Tom Rosol as he presents the state of the college address at 3:30 p.m. today (3/8) in the Veterinary Medicine Academic Building Wexner Auditorium. Rosol will offer highlights of the past year and discuss plans for the future, including the feasibility study for building a new Veterinary Teaching Hospital. The talk will also be available via Web cast in order to reach faculty and staff at the Marysville Large Animal Services Clinic and OARDC in Wooster. The free concert begins at 8 p.m. The evening’s performance will feature musical settings of Shakespearean texts from Measure for Measure, As You Like It, Twelfth Night and Othello. Compositions by Shakespeare’s contemporaries and selections from Bernstein’s West Side Story (inspired by Romeo and Juliet) will also be performed. will discuss ODOD’s New Research and Development Center Cost
Share Program. The presentation - of particular interest to college
research officers, center directors and faculty members planning large
center proposals - will begin at 1 p.m. in 113 OSU Research Foundation.
The goal is to increase the fundability of proposals for large new
research and development centers in Ohio by providing grants that can
be used to help meet cost share requirements in proposals to the federal
government, industry, foundations, and other sponsoring organizations.

Admission for Spring Quarter now is by appointment only. There is a $40 non-refundable application fee due at the time of the admissions appointment.
