Headline newsBE A PART OF LIVE BBC WORLDWIDE BROADCAST FROM WOSU@COSIWOSU 820 AM’s Fred Andrle will co-host a special BBC World Service broadcast of “World, Have Your Say” live from the Battelle Studio at WOSU@COSI from 1-3 p.m. Tuesday (3/20). The program, presented in partnership with the Columbus Metropolitan Club, will air locally on WOSU 820 AM and will be broadcast worldwide. The program features leading global figures, experts and correspondents who are also invited to take questions and comments from the audience. The public is invited to participate as members of the studio audience. There is no charge to attend, but seating is limited. MCMORROUGH IS BIG PICTURE LECTURE SERIES GUEST TODAYJohn McMorrough, Knowlton School of Architecture will present the next lecture in the Big Picture series at the Columbus Museum of Art at 7 p.m. today (3/15). McMorrough will discuss “Flat is the New Deep” in conjunction with the “Optic Nerve: Perceptual Art of the 1960s” exhibition. The lecture is free and open to the public. Contact: lantz.38@osu.edu

The exhibit includes books selected by OSU faculty granted tenure or promotion in 2006/07 and are book-plated in their name in recognition of their accomplishments. Honorees also included a statement on why the book was significant to them. Read More > WOSU@COSI HOSTS SHARE-A-STORY MARCH 16WOSU Public Media will host a Share-a-Story event at WOSU@COSI featuring local author Mary Ann Watson from noon-1 p.m. Friday (3/16). Watson will read her book “Ethan’s Barbershop Singing Family” while FourFront, a local women’s a cappella barbershop quartet joins in the fun. Filled with enchanting illustrations, Watson’s book introduces children to the joy and artistry of Barbershop singing. The event will include interactive music, book reading and fun for children. Read More > FTAD INTRODUCES TEACHING ENHANCEMENT PROGRAMSFaculty and TA Development is presenting Ohio State Teaching Enhancement Programs to bring groups of faculty and TAs together in communities to explore a variety of issues in university teaching, to enhance their own teaching, and to support the teaching of their colleagues. An OSTEP community consists of the selected 6-8 fellows plus a faculty facilitator. Each member is given modest funds to spend on professional development related to their teaching enhancement project. The 2007-08 communities will include Mid-Career & Senior Faculty Program, the Graduate Teaching Fellows Program, and the TA Coordinators Program. Apply online by Friday (4/6). 300th heart transplant recipient, breakthroughs in cardiology at the
Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital and the latest innovations in sports
