Gordon Gee will present the Outstanding Achievement Award in Nanotechnology to renowned Harvard University Chemistry Professor George Whitesides at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday (3/26) in 1008 Evans Lab. College of Engineering Dean William Baeslack will deliver the opening remarks. Whitesides will conduct a seminar on "Unconventional Nanofabrication" following the award presentation. Barbara Kunz, president of Health and Life Sciences Global Business, Battelle, and Shirley Rogers-Reece, vice president and general manager, McDonald’s will discuss their careers, accomplishments and the unique challenges women face in leadership positions. Read more > WOSU CELEBRATES GRAND OPENING OF NEW STUDIOS TODAYIn honor of the grand opening of WOSU Public Media’s new radio studios at the Fawcett Center, WOSU will hold an open house from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. today (3/24). Guests are invited to tour the new state-of-the-art studios, meet WOSU personalities and learn more about WOSU and digital radio. OSU President E. Contact: petrilla.6@osu.edu TELR ACCEPTING GRANT APPLICATIONS FOR INNOVATIONS IN eLEARNINGTELR is now accepting applications for a new initiative to promote eLearning experimentation at Ohio State. The Expertise Grant program enables faculty to collaborate with TELR eLearning consultants to develop and test their ideas for teaching and learning with technology. Faculty can request from 20 to 100 hours of TELR staff support, as well as up to $10,000 in funding, to support instructional innovation. Up to two projects, twice per year, can be supported. The application deadline for Spring Projects is Thursday (5/1).
