Headline newsALUTTO TO SERVE AS OHIO STATE INTERIM PROVOSTOhio State has named Fisher College of Business Dean Joe Alutto to serve as interim executive vice president and provost. Pending approval by the Board of Trustees, he will assume the role on Sunday (7/1), when current Provost Barbara Snyder becomes president of Case Western Reserve University. Alutto has been a faculty member and administrator at Ohio State since 1991, when he was appointed dean of the Fisher College, where he holds the John W. Berry Sr. Chair in Business. Steve Mangum, senior associate dean for academic programs of the Fisher College, will become acting dean on Sunday (7/1). Read More > AUTOMOTIVE MANUFACTURING RESEARCH CENTER TO OPEN MAY 2The College of Engineering has partnered with major automotive companies and manufacturing suppliers to create the Center for Occupational Health in Automotive Manufacturing, a first-of-its-kind research center that will use cutting-edge analysis methods to protect worker health, reduce injuries and optimize high-tech vehicle production.
