During the interview, Alutto talked about Ohio State’s commitment to “access to excellence” and the need to build on the progress made under previous administrations. NEW MICROSOFT AGREEMENTS FOR OHIO STATEOhio State now has two new agreements covering the use of Microsoft software. The Campus Agreement, which applies to university-owned equipment, and the Personal Use Program, which offers significant discounts on personally owned computers. The Microsoft Campus Agreement grants the use of certain Microsoft desktop products and client licenses for departmental installations on university owned equipment. The Microsoft Personal Use Program gives Ohio State faculty, staff, and students the option to purchase Microsoft's most popular desktop computer software and operating system products at significant discounts for personally owned equipment. The software media for both the Campus Agreement and Personal Use Program are available only at the UniPrint at Tuttle Park Place, 2055 Millikin Way, 292-2000. Read More >
VIOLENCE PREVENTION WORKSHOPThe ASC Advising and Academic Services Office is hosting a workshop about Violence Prevention from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, July 11 in 352 Denney Hall. The workshop will be presented by Dr. Louise Douce, Director of Counseling and Consultation Service, and Richard Morman, Assistant Chief of Police. OSU EXTENSION AND 4-H TEAM UP ON ATV SAFETYExtension and the National 4-H Council are teaming up this summer and fall to educate ATV (all-terrain vehicle) operators on the proper use of the vehicles. Extension received a statewide 4-H Community ATV Safety Program grant for the purpose of providing ATV educational sessions to 4-H youth and other individuals. The goal of the grant is to conduct ATV safety clinics in at least 20 counties by December. Each clinic will total eight hours, with four hours of riding. Read More > STONE LAB GUEST LECTURE SERIESOhio State’s Stone Lab on Lake Erie continues its annual summer guest lecture series beginning at 7:45 p.m. Thursday (7/5). Dr. Larry Krissek, School of Earth Sciences, presents “Scientific Drilling in Antarctica: Records of Climate Change.” Lectures will take place every Thursday evening throughout the summer at Stone Lab.
