Gateway to the world: President Gee opens Ohio State's office in Shanghai

 Ohio State has launched its first international physical presence: a Gateway office in Shanghai, China. President E. Gordon Gee, who traveled to China for the opening, calls the Gateway "modest in size, but large in purpose. Through it, we seek to enlarge Ohio State's collaborations across China." Interested in dental implants? The Division of Periodontology in the College of Dentistry is conducting a study to learn more about wound healing around dental implants. You may be qualified if you are missing a single tooth or having a tooth scheduled for extraction on your lower back jaw. You should be at least 18 years old and a non-smoker with healthy gums and teeth. The study requires routine visits at 1, 2, 3, 6, 8 and 12 post-operative weeks. OSU Police, Highway Patrol training on campus today

 Today (7/22), between 6 and 7 p.m., the Ohio State University Police Division and the Ohio Highway Patrol will be conducting training in the area of Woody Hayes Drive. The impact on vehicle and pedestrian traffic will be minimal and short in duration. The normal flow of traffic will be maintained, but motorists will need to follow the directions of the nearest police officer. Benevolence fund helps students stay afloat when times get tough

 Allison Gibson knows a lot about giving. Before enrolling in the one-year master’s program in Ohio State’s College of Social Work, she served in AmeriCorps; while a student, she worked with the volunteer guardian program at the Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging to help improve that program. But when she came into some financial hardships of her own, she became the one in need of a little help from Ohio State’s Students First, Students Now fundraising campaign. Women’s Studies combines two introductory courses

The Department of Women’s Studies has combined their two introductory courses together. Women's Studies 110 now fulfills three GEC categories and is the only introductory level course in the department. Metro Farmer's Market each Saturday through Aug. 28

Growing America, a program run by students from The Metro High School and Ohio State, with support from the PAST Foundation, is hosting a Metro Farmer's Market at 1929 Kenny Road from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays, from (7/24)-(8/28).
