Good Day!
WELCOME
TO OSUToday, the latest news and information for faculty and staff of The
Ohio State University for Wednesday, Aug. 29. The deadline for submissions
is noon the prior business day.
OSUToday sponsored by the Wexner Center for the Arts
It's Apple season at the Wexner Center Store, with deals on iPads, MacBook Pros, MacBook Airs, and iMacs. Along with WiredOut, the Wexner Center Store is the best place for Ohio State faculty, staff, and students to purchase Apple products, thanks to Apple pricing at both stores that's 2-12 percent lower than standard retail (and lower than Apple Education pricing). Through Friday (9/21), your purchase may entitle you to a Back to School Gift Card. Check out our Apple products in-person or online.

Center for Advanced Functional Foods Research and Entrepreneurship
The Center for Advanced Functional Foods Research and Entrepreneurship is a multidisciplinary center focused on research and development of novel functional foods and components that will enhance health. A strength of the program is the diverse research expertise among CAFFRE participants, who include faculty, staff, and students in Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Medicine, the Comprehensive Cancer Center, Public Health, Pharmacy, Human Nutrition, Molecular Genetics, and Veterinary Biosciences. Pictured here, left to right: Steven Schwartz, Steven Clinton and Yael Vodovotz.
Following a "Crops to the Clinic to the Consumer" agenda, CAFFRE's research includes phytochemicals in plants, development of foods that optimize these properties, preclinical and human clinical trials to study efficacy of the foods, and analysis of phytochemical metabolites after the products have been consumed.
