Spotlight on ... The Center for the Study of Religion

The Center for the Study of Religion brings together faculty and
students from across the university who are interested in the scholarly
study of religions, across the span of history and around the world.
Amongst the ways in which the center supports this interest is to
sponsor lectures, colloquia and reading groups, including an annual
At-Large Lectures in Religion series that brings six outstanding
scholars from around the world to our campus. This year's series will
include lectures on religion and the media, the role of the visual arts
in the Reformation, cognition and religion, prophecy and historicity,
ritual structures, and more. The Center also seeks to engage members of
the public in informed and reflective discourse on religions by
welcoming them to the At-Large series and other events.
