Flu update
Reminder: Register for the H1N1 vaccine
Faculty and staff are encouraged to register now for the H1N1 vaccine, which is being dispensed to the university on a weekly basis. It is anticipated that there will be enough vaccine for all who wish to receive it, but registration is required. The telephone-based registration system also will allow university officials to identify high-risk populations who will receive first priority when the first shipments of vaccine arrive. A BuckID or employee ID is needed to register for the vaccine, which will be free at campus-area clinic locations. To register for an H1N1 vaccine, call 4-H1N1 from any campus phone or 514-H1N1 from off campus. A confirmation message will be sent to your OSU e-mail address.
Supervisors of employees who do not have routine access to a computer during their daily activities are urged to view this link (http://flu.osu.edu/university-actions-faculty.html) to see how they can assist these employees. Registration, confirmation, and vaccination schedules all are addressed.

College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences diversity efforts
"Diversity. Unity. Community." That's the theme for a new campaign in the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences, reflecting its values of being a welcoming environment in which faculty, staff and students are committed to each other and provide a sense of community for all. The campaign is the brainchild of the college's Diversity Catalyst Team, a group of 19 faculty and staff inspiring an appreciation of diversity as part of the Change Agent States Project, an initiative involving land-grant institutions in 18 states.
Besides banners and posters promoting the campaign in college buildings, the effort includes a Diversity Speaker Series kicking off at 4 p.m. today (10/28) in the 4-H Center International Room. The interactive presentation, "Making the Right Turn for Diversity," focuses on the values that bring people together regardless of race, ethnicity and color.
