Headline newsKILLOREN RECEIVES NATIONAL RESEARCH ADMINISTRATION AWARDRobert Killoren, associate vice president for Research Administration at Ohio
State, was honored by the National Council of University Research Administrators
with its most prestigious award, presented at the organization’s annual
meeting on Monday (11/5) in Washington, D.C. Killoren received the Outstanding
Achievement in Research Administration Award in recognition for his work with
the National Academies in promoting university-industry research collaborations

RESEARCHER TO BE FEATURED FRIDAY ON GOOD MORNING AMERICAAn Ohio State ergonomics researcher and his colleagues are scheduled to appear
Friday (11/9) on the television show Good
Morning America .
William Marras, professor of industrial, welding and systems engineering and
director of the university's Center for Occupational
Health in Automotive Manufacturing,
guided Good Morning America anchor Sam Champion through a demonstration of
COHAM technology earlier this week. The center explores
ergonomic issues that affect autoworker health and safety.
INTERACT THEATER TROUPE PERFORMS AT WOSU@COSIWOSU Public Media is partnering with the Department of Theatre to present
an InterACT Theater Troupe performance of “Views from The War” at
1:30 p.m. Sunday (11/11) in the Battelle Studio at WOSU@COSI. The show incorporates
the real voices of veterans from central Ohio captured during the Columbus
World War II Roadshow event held in June. The public is invited to be a part
of this special live performance in honor of Veterans Day. There is no charge
to attend, but reservations are suggested at 292-9678. After the performance
guests may preview WOSU TV’s “Honor Flight,” that documents
the travel of 32 Ohio WWII veterans as they visited the WWII memorial recently. “Honor
Flight” premieres at 10:30 p.m. Monday (11/12) on WOSU TV.
FACULTY MENTORS SOUGHT FOR SUMMER RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES PROGRAMThe Graduate School is seeking faculty research mentors for the Summer Research
Opportunities Program. Students will be selected based on the faculty member

Evolution of American Land Use” on Friday (11/9) in 190 Knowlton Hall.
The lecture is part of a kick-off event to introduce the Urban Land Institute’s
student urban design competition. The event begins at 4 p.m., with the lecture
to follow at 4:20 p.m. The lecture is free and open to the public. Read

help you develop more effective programs, report results to funders, and learn
