Headline newsSPIKE LEE TO RECEIVE 13TH WEXNER PRIZEThe Wexner Center for the Arts announced Monday (11/26) that the 13th Wexner
Prize will be awarded to groundbreaking filmmaker Spike Lee, who will visit
Columbus in February to accept the award. The $50,000 prize is presented to
a contemporary artist in any field who has been consistently original, influential
and challenging to convention, with artists nominated by the Wexner Center’s
International Arts Advisory Council. This marks the first award in Lee’s
career from a multidisciplinary arts center. He will be at the Wexner Center
Monday (2/11/08) and Tuesday (2/12/08) for the ceremony, and to participate
in a variety of events for Wexner Center members, Ohio State students, area
teens, and the general public (details on these events to be announced).
CAYUSE424 CAN NOW BE USED TO SUBMIT PROPOSALS TO GRANTS.GOVCayuse424 can now be used to submit USDA, HRSA and NSF, as well as NIH, proposals
to Grants.gov. Cayuse424, the electronic research administration tool provided
by the university to facilitate submission of NIH proposals to Grants.gov,
can now be used to submit proposals to several other agencies as well. Training
sessions have been scheduled and will focus on USDA submissions. However, those
submitting to other agencies are welcome to attend. Register for training at
http://rf.osu.edu./inf/e-cal.cfm. LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTS TO DISCUSS INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY NOV. 28Liat Margolis and Alexander Robinson will present “Living Systems, Innovative
Materials and Technologies in Landscape Architecture” as part of the
KSA Lecture Series at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday (11/28) in the Knowlton Hall Auditorium.
Margolis, a landscape architect at Hargreaves Associates and manager of a materials
research lab at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design, and Robinson, a
designer at SWA Group, collaborate to expand and promote the topic of innovation
in material technologies and ecology in landscape architecture. Read

invites you to learn about the current legal status of same-sex couples and
their families in Ohio today. Local attorney LeeAnn Massucci will explain some
of the most pressing issues for same-sex couples, including relationship recognition,
parenting and financial decision-making. Allies and non-students are welcome

8 p.m. Friday (11/30) in Mershon Auditorium. The fast-paced musical experience
will feature more than 300 student musicians and vocalists and nearly every
ensemble in the School of Music. Selections will include Jingle Bells, Mary
had a Baby, selections from Mozart’s The Magic Flute and the traditional
finale of the Hallelujah Chorus from Handel’s Messiah, featuring combined

HIDDEN BENEFITS FAIR LAST OPPORTUNITY FOR FREE FLU SHOTFaculty and staff will have one last opportunity to get a free flu vaccination on campus at the Hidden Benefits Fair from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday (12/5) at French Field House. Schedule an appointment online (click on Flu Shot Sign-Up). Your employee ID number, found on your Buck ID, hospital ID or pay stub, will be necessary to register. You also will need to present your employee ID number and photo identification at your appointment. The free flu vaccinations are courtesy of the university’s Faculty and Staff Wellness Program. W-2 STATEMENTS CAN BE RECEIVED ONLINEHuman Resources is reminding employees that they can register to receive an
online, printable version of their W-2 Wage and Tax Statement. Once registered,
the W-2 statement will be posted on a secure Web site in late January. The
employee will receive an e-mail notification when the W-2 is available, along
with instructions for retrieval. Anyone who signs up for this online option
will not receive a copy of the W-2 statement in the mail. Employees who have
previously registered to receive their W-2 information online do not need to
