Ohio State's College of Nursing has been named Best Nursing College for Men for 2008 by the American Assembly for Men in Nursing, the nation’s largest advocacy organization for men in nursing. Male student enrollment at all levels - undergraduate, master’s and PhD - has nearly doubled from 44 students in 2004 to 82 students in 2008. In addition, university statistics illustrate a trend of both an increased number of males applying to the College of Nursing and the number of males accepted to the college. Payments to human subjects policy update
The university’s policy on payments to individuals participating in research projects has been streamlined. Major changes are:
- OSU employees in studies for which there is a subject payment will now be compensated the same way as non-employee subjects i.e., by cash, check or gift card. It is no longer necessary to process subject compensation through the payroll system. This change may require revisions to the consent forms or a consent addendum. If this applies to your ongoing study, click here.
- For cash and non-cash payments of less than $100 per year per subject, citizenship status of the research subject will not need to be determined. For more information, click here.
