Town Hall meeting to discuss One University Framework master planning

The university is hosting a Town Hall meeting at noon Wednesday (11/4) in the Thompson Library Campus Reading Room (1120) to present initial findings and get feedback from students, faculty and staff on the developing One University Framework. The project is based on President Gee’s six strategic goals and is intended to establish a flexible, long-range physical vision for the campus to enable knowledge advancement for the next several decades. This planning is new and different because it is an integrated framework that aligns the programmatic, physical, and fiscal needs and issues of the university. Expanded checks for financial conflict of interest disclosures

Faculty and research staff are reminded of expanded checks for financial conflict of interest disclosures. Starting Sunday (11/1), the Office of Sponsored Programs and the Office of Responsible Research Practices staff began verifying that all individuals listed on research awards or protocols have FY 2009/2010 financial COI disclosures on file before institutional approval is given. Today: Author Ivan Eland to discuss new book

Author Ivan Eland will discuss his new book, Recarving Rushmore: Ranking the Presidents on Peace, Prosperity, and Liberty at 7:30 p.m. today (11/2) in 1015 McPherson. Eland is a senior fellow at the Independent Institute and the director of the Center on Peace & Liberty. The Biannual Metabolic Bone Disease Update 2009 CME conference is scheduled to take place Friday (11/6) at the University Plaza Hotel and Conference Center, 3110 Olentangy River Road. The program is a full-day live symposium that will address the most current information and treatment methods regarding osteoporosis and other metabolic bone issues. Michael Agar to present two public lectures Nov. 6

Michael Agar, Ethnoworks LLC and professor emeritus of Linguistics and Anthropology, University of Maryland will deliver two public lectures on Friday (11/6):
