Governor and Development Director Lee Fisher and a host of other Ohio leaders in a special Ohio economic development supplement that is featured in the latest edition of Forbes magazine. The article, "Ohio: The State of Perfect Balance" focuses on key industries, advanced and renewable energy, sustainable innovation, workforce development, and the significant economic impacts of Ohio State and its affiliated health centers. Among the OSU initiatives highlighted are: the Food Industries Center, the Center for Advanced Functional Food Research and Entrepreneurship, Ohio BioProducts Innovation Center, the Center for Personalized Health Care, and Ohio State’s key cancer partners, the Ohio State Comprehensive Cancer Center and the James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute. Rosol to serve on executive committee of national advisory boardThomas Rosol, Special Assistant to the Vice President for Research in Technology Licensing and Commercialization and OSU professor of Veterinary Biosciences in the College of Veterinary Medicine, has been elected to serve on the seven-member executive committee of the National Agricultural Research, Extension, Education, and Economics Advisory Board, which provides advice to the Secretary of Agriculture, U.S. Congress, and land-grant colleges and universities on top priorities and policies for food and agricultural research, education, extension and economics. Rosol also serves as the chair of the committee on Invasive Species. Read more >
Developing the Habit of Innovation workshop Jan. 13Join the OSU Leadership Center from 9 a.m.-noon Tuesday (1/13/09) at the Fawcett Center for a workshop, "Personal Brilliance - Developing the Habit of Innovation."
