Celebrate National Wear Red Day Feb. 7. The Ohio State Ross Heart Hospital is a proud sponsor of Go Red for Women. Please wear red on Feb. 7 to help spread awareness of cardiovascular disease. Make sure to follow the dress code for your respective department or unit. Join us at the photo booth in the Ross Heart Hospital Lobby 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and have your picture taken with Brutus! Plenty of red props will be available so bring your colleagues and Go Red. There also will be a table in the Ross lobby where you can make a Valentine for a heart patient.

Current model for storing nuclear waste is incomplete

The materials the United States and other countries plan to use to store high-level nuclear waste will likely degrade faster than anyone previously knew because of the way those materials interact, new research from Ohio State's Center for Performance and Design of Nuclear Waste Forms and Containers shows.

Office of Student Life receives recognition

Ohio State’s Office of Student Life has again been named one of the Most Promising Places to Work in Student Affairs by Diverse: Issues in Higher Education. This is the sixth year in a row for this recognition. With a focus on workplace diversity, staffing practices and work environment, the research uses a web-based survey approach to examine categories including family friendliness, salary/benefits and professional development opportunities.
