COVID-19

In-person events and gatherings prohibited

Limiting population density across all campuses is designed to help keep Buckeyes safe and healthy. All in-person gatherings, events and tabling activities, even those of 10 people or fewer, are currently prohibited. This limitation applies both to on-campus and off-campus events and gatherings of any kind. The university will take a phased approach to resuming non-academic events during spring semester, beginning with student events and will provide more information as it becomes available. Message from Student Life

We’ve had nearly a full year of physical distancing in this age of COVID-19. We’ve all had a range of reactions to these precautions, and it is understandable that we are missing each other. Connection, belonging and togetherness are important ingredients for mental health. When we feel lonely or isolated, it sends an internal message to our brains that we are not OK. Typically, the feeling of loneliness should act as a guidepost, prompting us to reach out and connect with others. Authentic connection and belonging can be an antidote. However, opportunities to connect are harder to come by right now.

Getting around campus

Snow removal and winter weather preparedness

Snow and ice are likely as winter continues, so please be prepared and give yourself enough time to get to class or work safely. The 130 miles of campus sidewalk and 40 miles of campus roads typically take nearly six hours or more to clear one time, depending on the severity of the weather. While customers may still see snow in the areas, our facilities crew will do its best to keep pathways clear. CampusParc will treat parking lots and garages, with garage rooftops remaining open, when possible. Plan your CABS trip via the Ohio State app.
