Safe and Healthy requirements for commencement

The university is looking forward to celebrating the Class of 2021 at the first in-person commencement since December 2019. Ohio State partnered with state and local officials on a plan to ensure the health and safety of all graduates and guests. Graduates received information on Thursday outlining all expectations and requirements necessary in order to participate in the in-person commencement ceremony. Graduates and guests must wear masks and remain seated in their assigned seating pod for the duration of the ceremony. Pods are distanced 6 feet apart in accordance with state and local guidelines. All graduates, including staff members who are graduating, are required to complete a COVID-19 test during the week of May 3 and bring with them proof of a negative result to Ohio Stadium on May 9. Graduates will be required to show a green status from their Daily Health Check on the day of commencement. Those who are not fully compliant will not be permitted to enter Ohio Stadium.
