Mitsch receives first Odum award
Professor Emeritus of Environment and Natural Resources and founding director of the Olentangy River Wetland Research Park Bill Mitsch received the first Odum award for Ecological Engineering Excellence from the American Ecological Engineering Society (AEES) at its 18th annual meeting in Houston in June. The meeting also featured the return of 10 current or past AEES presidents, including Mitsch, who started AEES at Ohio State in 2000. The Odum award is named for the late professors H.T. Odum of University of Florida and Eugene Odum of University of Georgia, brothers and preeminent pioneers in the field of ecology.
