Swedish filmmaker Ingmar Bergman is legendary for a body of work that questions what it means to exist in our world, full of imagery best seen on the big screen. Experience some of his best-known films at the Wex during the summer film series "Ingmar Bergman at 100," running through Wednesday (8/15). Casian new divisional dean, natural and mathematical sciences
Luis Casian, professor and chair of the Department of Mathematics, has been appointed to serve as the new divisional dean for natural and mathematical sciences for the College of Arts and Sciences. He will begin his new role Wednesday (8/1). He has been with the Department of Mathematics since 1988, serving as chair since 2010. During his tenure, he's made multiple positive changes that have improved the quality, outreach and reputation of the Department of Mathematics.

Put your throwing, catching and dodging skills to the test at the Faculty/Staff Ultimate Dodgeball Tournament, presented by Buckeye Wellness Thursday (8/2). You must register by Monday (7/30). The competition starts at 11:45 a.m. in the RPAC Upper Gym. Register as a single player or as a team of four to six. Teams who win two matches qualify for the tournament. Tournament teams face off against each other in a single elimination bracket until one team remains.

5K running/walking series begins Wednesday (8/8).
Ohio State Health Coach Michael will lead a nine-week walking/running series Wednesdays at 5 p.m. at Fred Beekman Park. Sessions are 20-30 minutes and based on the Couch to 5K phone app available for free download. Participants will receive a weekly running-related email covering topics like nutrition, hydration, breathing and more. All fitness levels welcome. YP4H points can be earned for participating and completing a Group Health Coaching (GHC) program.

OSC to host Schrödinger Software Workshop
The Ohio Supercomputer Center on Ohio State’s West Campus will hold a Schrödinger Software Workshop: Introduction to Molecular Modeling with Maestro Friday (8/3) 9 a.m. to noon in BALE Theatre. OSC will introduce the interface for Schrödinger's molecular modeling platform, Maestro. Attendees will learn how to import, visualize and analyze protein and small molecule structures. There also will be opportunities for more individualized consultations with Schrödinger experts following the main workshop.
