is now being offered to residential customers nationwide from USPS. Once registered, USPS will email you a picture of the mail that they will be delivering to your home. It is limited to letter-sized pieces currently with catalogs, magazines and flats to be added in the future. USPS also is offering Package Intercept, which will allow you to redirect USPS packages. Central Ohio’s first transcatheter mitral valve replacement
Physicians at the Ross Heart Hospital have completed central Ohio’s first transcatheter procedure to replace a patient’s mitral valve. Until now, this procedure required heart surgery. The new, minimally invasive procedure took place as part of the APOLLO Trial, designed to evaluate a device called the Intrepid™ Transcatheter Mitral Valve Replacement system. This study will evaluate the safety and efficacy of this minimally invasive approach in up to 1,200 patients.

Inaugural cohort of President's Postdoc Scholars
Ohio State has named 11 scholars as the inaugural cohort of President’s Postdoctoral Scholars. Recipients were selected from a diverse and highly competitive pool of 103 national and international applicants. Their research ranges from a mathematical examination of complex biological patterns, to the cumulative nature of depressive syndromes, to the history of fiction reading in the United States.

New combined pharmacy program
The College of Pharmacy is excited to announce the approval of a new combined seven-year Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences (BSPS)/Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree program. This combined degree program, which capitalizes on the strength of both state-of-the-art curricula, will provide an innovative and seamless training option for many BSPS students pursuing pharmacy careers. Supervising student employees
This two-hour instructor-led workshop covers principles of student employee supervision. Participants will learn to set expectations and offer feedback. Evidence-based practices and sharing challenges and strategies with others will give participants practical solutions for student supervision. This workshop, in partnership by the Office of Student Life and the Office of Human Resources, will be held Tuesday (8/21) 9-11 a.m. at the Ohio Union.
