CCTS seeks program director for PTC Program

The Center for Clinical and Translational Science is seeking an academically accomplished faculty member to serve as the director for the CCTS Pilot Translational and Clinical Studies (PTC) Program. The director leads the oversight of the CCTS Pilot Program’s broad portfolio of research funding opportunities and includes the Pilot Request for Application (RFA), Pilot Review Committee and Pilot Award processes. Position begins Oct. 1, 2018, and continues to May 31, 2023. Apply by Sept. 1.

Ballot Insights announcement

The Drug Enforcement and Policy Center is hosting discussions on the issues included in the 2018 Ohio Neighborhood Safety, Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation Amendment. Our experts will discuss the complexities of the proposed changes and the challenges connected with using direct democracy to pursue legal and policy changes. New chair for the Department of Molecular Genetics story

Harald Vaessin has been named chair of the Department of Molecular Genetics, effective June 1, 2018, through May 31, 2022. His areas of expertise include regulation of cell proliferation, terminal differentiation, molecular neurobiology and gene expression.

NSF funding for STEAM Factory, OHI/O and COSI

A collaboration between the STEAM Factory, OHI/O Informal Learning in Tech Program and COSI (Center of Science and Industry) advances informal STEM learning beginning Saturday (9/1) with a $1.2 million award from NSF's Advancing Informal STEM Learning program. The project will develop, evaluate and advance a multidisciplinary platform for informal learning that integrates concepts across disciplines.
