COVID-19 - Get Vaccinated

The university strongly encourages all students, faculty and staff to get vaccinated. Walk-in appointments are available on campus and there are Wexner Medical Center locations around central Ohio and even more at retail locations throughout the state.

Once you have been vaccinated, the university is asking employees to voluntarily share their vaccine information by completing this simple form. Even if you were vaccinated through the Wexner Medical Center or your information appears in MyChart, we are asking you to submit through this form so that it can be used in our public health response. This information will be used for contact tracing, isolating/quarantining or other individual case decisions in the event of a COVID-19 exposure, as aggregate data to determine the percentage of vaccinated Ohio State employees, and to drive decisions on public health measures needed for the Ohio State community.

Buckeye Alert system test

A Buckeye Alert system test will occur Aug. 31. Students, faculty and staff on all Ohio State campuses will receive a text message that will be clearly identified as a test. If a Buckeye Alert is issued, information will be posted at emergency.osu.edu. If your cell phone number is already in Workday (for faculty/staff) or BuckeyeLink (for students), then you are automatically registered for the Buckeye Alert text messaging system. Faculty, staff and students have the ability to register up to two additional cell phone numbers to receive text message notifications. The system also sends severe weather alerts to the entire university community for tornado warnings.

In addition to personal support, Counseling and Consultation Service and the Employee Assistance Program are resources for our community members. Students who are feeling unsure about connecting with services, but want to simply check in with a counselor, can visit here. Watch a short video about the military population at the link below.
