Theatre faculty, students in Prague

Several Ohio State Department of Theatre faculty members and students are in Prague this week for the Prague Quadrennial 1999, the foremost exhibition of theater design in the world.

Ohio State was chosen to execute the design of the United State's entry in the international competition. The huge, interactive display celebrates theater set, costume and lighting design.

Winning entries were to be announced June 7. Entries vie for the Golden Triga, last won by the United States in 1987.

The Wexner Center kicks off its 10th anniversary season with the Chucho Valdes Quintet, the acclaimed Afro-Cuban jazz band, performing at 7 p.m. June 27 in Weigel Hall. Call 292-3535 for more information.
