No vehicular, pedestrian or bicycle traffic will be allowed through. Both CABS and COTA buses will detour around the construction site by going north to Lane Avenue, and then east on Lane to Fyffe Road. OIT implementing central e-mail systemThe Office of Information Technology is nearing the time when the migration of users to the new OIT-managed central e-mail system will begin. The new system is osu.edu. Members of the University community either read their e-mail on the OIT-managed central system, or it is forwarded to their departmental server or Internet Service Provider. All users of the OIT centrally managed e-mail system need to use their osu.edu address. Because of the increasing complexity of maintenance, OIT must end support for legacy addresses as part of the deployment of the new central e-mail system. E-mail sent to legacy e-mail addresses will not be delivered as OIT transitions to the new central e-mail system. The addresses involved are those in the following formats: username@postbox.acs.ohio-state.edu; @postbox.uts.ohio-state.edu; @pop.service.ohio-state.edu; @smtp.service.ohio-state.edu; @magnus.acs.ohio-state.edu; @magnus.ircc.ohio-state.edu; or @ohio-state.edu. To assist the user community with this transition, OIT is deploying technology that will intercept e-mail addressed to any of the above legacy address formats. OIT will keep this technology in place through Autumn Quarter. After that, e-mail sent to any of the decommissioned domains will be bounced as an unknown user or recipient. For details or assistance, contact the OIT Technology Support Center at 688-HELP or 8help@osu.edu, or visit the OIT Technology Support Center Web site at http://8help.ohio-state.edu.
