Recognitions

Jodi Black, Animal Sciences, is a national finalist in the 2002 NACAA search for Excellence in 4-H & Youth Programming. Black also is the national winner of the 2002 NACAA Communications Award for the video on how to conduct skillathons. Tom Turner and Mike Bayes are the local "stars" of the video.

Patricia E. Enciso, Education, was recently elected a trustee of the Research Foundation for the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE).

Janelle Gaddis, Animal Sciences, won second place in the MS student category of the poster competition at the 2002 OARDC Annual Conference for her poster "Vitamin C Depletion and Recovery in the Ovine Corpus Luteum in Response to PGF2a." Amy Lahmers, Animal Sciences, received an OSU Critical Difference for Women Professional Development Grant to Participate in the American College Personnel Association (ACPA) Conference in Long Beach, Calif. in March.

Mark Morrison, Animal Sciences, was the 2002 recipient of the Outstanding Young Science Award for Research presented during the ADSA and ASAS Midwest Sectional Meeting in Des Moines, Iowa in March.

Herb Ockerman, Animal Sciences, was inducted into the Argentine National Academy of Agronomy and Veterinary Sciences in June.

Jennifer Southworth, Animal Sciences, received the Outstanding Service Award at the Gamma Sigma Recognition Program on Feb. 7.
